On April 22, 2023, Green Interchange is seeking volunteers to participate in our Plant a Tree Tennessee 2023 event in various locations throughout the state. Come celebrate Earth Day through helping to distribute trees! This is a great opportunity for people who are passionate about the environment and want to make a difference in their community.
Plant a Tree for Tennessee is a one-day volunteer event taking place at 23 locations across Tennessee. Participants will make a donation online and reserve trees to plant in their yard before April 17. Then they will visit one of the 23 locations to pick their trees up on April 22. This is where you come in…. Sign up to volunteer at one of the various pickup location sites. Volunteers will be needed from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm and will help with tasks such as sorting trees, looking up participant information on spreadsheets we provide, directing traffic, keeping trees hydrated during the event, and handing out trees to participants and other simple tasks as needed. Volunteers who participate in this event will receive 10 free native seedlings to take home and plant after the event. No prior experience is required to participate in this event – however if you are knowledgeable about trees or tree planting it may help because the Participants who are picking up trees may have questions. Volunteers need to be 18 and up unless accompanied by an adult, are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, as well as to bring sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, you can sign up below. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and make a difference in your community. Comments are closed.
