On January 28 from 9am-1pm volunteers will plant trees at Donelson Christian Academy (DCA) in Nashville to improve our waterways. And on Feb 8 from 12pm-4pm Green Interchange volunteers will plant trees at the intersection of I-840 and Central Pike in Lebanon to improve our roadways.

Planting trees near roadways and waterways is an important part of our mission and offers important benefits for healthier communities, economies, and quality of life.  Learn more here.

Click the links below to register for either or both events. Volunteering is always free. If you choose to donate you are supporting important work planting trees across Tennessee. The events will take place rain or shine. Please register in advance so we can send any updates or contact you as needed.

Let's Plant More Trees in 2023!

As the new year begins, we can't help but be thankful for all of YOUR support! You have helped Green Interchange to accomplish much for our economy, communities, and quality of life. Here's how you helped us in 2022:

  • 2,250 of YOU planted over 10,500 trees in your yards, along roadways, waterways and community parks all across TN.
  • You spent 4,500 hours planting those trees - an in-kind donation of over $125,000. That almost tripled our budget.
  • We received our first permit from TN Department of Transportation to plant a portion of the I-840 and Central Pike Interstate Interchange in Wilson County.
  • And we began work to restore the forest along the last section of a highly impacted urban stream, Garrison Creek in Murfreesboro.

There are many more great things we can accomplish together! Plans for 2023 include:
  • Plant the I-840 and Central Pike interchange.
  • Plant 12,000 trees as part of Plant a Tree for Tennessee.
  • Finish the Garrison Creek reforestation.
  • Begin the tree planting along Spring Creek, a tributary to the Cumberland and drinking water for many in our community.

Thanks for all the ways you have supported this work. You made a difference this year, and your end-of year investment of $50, $100, $250 or more will go a long way to making 2023 a success. Can we count on your support?
