This program took place in September 2022. If you would like a tree to plant in your yard, please sign up for updates here. Our next event, Plant a Tree for Tennessee, will take place in April 2023. We'll be offering a variety of bare-root seedlings.
Get trees to plant in your yard. We're offering five of our most popular trees for the fall planting season. These are bigger trees, 5-7 foot tall, or about 3/4 to 1 inch caliper, and the trees will be potted in a #5 container. Choose from Autumn Blaze Maple, Eastern Redbud, White Dogwood, Santa Rosa Plum, or Shumard Oak. Trees are available with a $44.99 per tree donation and available for pickup on 9/24 in Lebanon or 10/1 in Brentwood from 9am-12pm. We also offer tree planting services. Here's how it works:
1. Reserve your trees below
2. Choose your pickup location and date
3. Pickup on the date/time selected unless you want us to plant for you
9/24 Lebanon First United Methodist Church
415 W Main St, Lebanon, TN 37087
Reserve by 9/18. Pickup from 9am-12pm
10/1 Brentwood United Methodist Church

IMPORTANT: Instructions, Information, and Agreements
Trees MUST be reserved in advance and will be available ONLY at the location, date, and time range selected. If you order trees and later find you are unable to pickup at the selected location and date, you'll need to contact us and make arrangements to pick them up in Mt. Juliet on another time/date. Tree species are subject to availability. In the unlikely event your tree species will not be available, we will contact you by EMAIL 5 days before pickup, and offer a similar species, or a full refund if your prefer.
- You are volunteering to plant trees (or have trees planted) in your yard or in the community as part of the Plant a BIGGER Tree for Tennessee initiative.
- You will plant the tree within a reasonable time after receiving it.
- You will call 811 before digging in your yard or the community to avoid disrupting any underground utilities.
- You have read instructions on how to plant your tree, and you will plant the tree where it is most likely to thrive, and you will avoid planting too close to structures or utility lines.
- Our pickup sites are operated by staff and generous volunteers. All pickup locations are outdoors.
- After planting, you will take pictures of your tree and post them on social media with the hashtag #plantatreefortn and/or you will send pictures or feedback to us to let us know how your tree is doing. If you are in Davidson County, you will register your qualified tree on the Root Nashville Tree Plotter.

Plant a Bigger Tree for Tennessee is presented in partnership with Root Nashville - Cumberland River Compact. Trees planted in Davidson County may count toward the Root Nashville goal of 500,000 trees. Your donations will help Green Interchange do our work of planting trees in roadways, waterways, and other ways. A contribution of just $6 helps us plant one tree, and donating $6 monthly will help cover your carbon emissions from car travel!
