In April 2022 over 2,250 Tennesseans from Memphis to Knoxville planted over 10,000 trees in their yard and in their community. These trees are already working to improve our air, water, and land, and they are making Tennessee more beautiful

The trees offered at the event were bare-root seedlings, like the photo to the right. We offered a variety of native trees with a small per/tree donation. Participants picked up their trees from one of 21 pickup sites, each run by a team of volunteers who committed their time, talent, and passion to help our participants.

This is the second year of the program and t
o date we have helped over 4,000 people plant more than 17,500 trees in their yards.

Tree seedlings planted in Davidson County, which survive one full year after planting and are registered through a simple process, will also count toward the Root Nashville goal of 500,000 trees. Your donations will help Green Interchange do our work of planting trees in roadways, waterways, and other ways.
